Documentary Introduction "Welcome to Taipei Main Station's Living Room" documents the lives and work of four Indonesian female caregivers from different generations: Tantri, Yusni, Umi, and Pindy. Captures the scene of Indonesian migrant workers gathering in the #TaipeiMainStationHall—which was once an important venue for Indonesian communities to hold events and celebrate Eid al-Fitr. However, this scene has gradually disappeared after the COVID-19 pandemic. Through four life stories, the film explores multiple reflections on #TransnationalFemaleMigrantWorkers, labor, and identity. When they step away from their employers' homes and come to the Taipei Main Station hall, they put aside their caregiver roles and become "complete people" again, possessing talent, emotions, and dreams. If leave policies are truly implemented, allowing migrant workers to step outside their workplaces, the constraints of their lives can begin to loosen. Here, they are not just workers but also free to express themselves, support each other, and reimagine a more dignified life. ? Director Introduction Tseng Wen-chen is a documentary director who also directs feature films. She won the 39th Golden Horse Awards for Best Documentary Award for Spring—The Story of Hsu Chin-yu, which was also selected for the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. She has a long history of documenting marginalized groups, including The Long Goodbye (2015), Before Sunset (2019), and The Lucky Woman (2020). The Lucky Woman was selected for the "New Docs Japan" section at the 2021 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival.
