About the program The International Ph.D. Program in Indigenous Studies at the College of Indigenous Studies, National Dong Hwa University, Taiwan, is designed for international students and caters to the needs of those interested in pursuing Indigenous Studies for a doctoral degree. Fully taught in English, we provide students with an in-depth understanding of political and social philosophy, ecological systems, media, communication, and cultural issues relevant to Taiwan's Indigenous Peoples and the world. This program prepares students for academia, policymaking, and social justice careers, contributing to promoting Indigenous cultures and communities around the globe. About this opportunity •Full Time •Tenure-track •Applications close on August 30, 2024, at 5.00 pm (GMT+8) We are seeking a teaching position at the assistant professor, associate professor, or professor level in Taiwan, Austronesia, and Global Indigenous Studies. We are also considering applications from lecturers. The position will be effective on February 1, 2025. The role includes (but is not limited to) curriculum and assessment design, research outputs, and expanding international scholarly collaborations. You will also perform research, administrative and other activities associated with the Program. Eligibility •Ph.D. in Indigenous Studies or related fields. •Experience in using English as a medium of instruction. •Practical experience in working with indigenous communities in Taiwan or overseas.
