永恆的天空：美國原住民文學裡的照護、正義與敘事醫學 “The Everlasting Sky”: Care and Justice in Native American Narrative Medicine

演講大綱： This lecture examines Native American solidarity by exploring Indigenous communities of care and by recovering a medicine that forges a powerful and radical challenge to the Western hegemony of Reason. Drawing on Native American literature on the US-Mexico borders by Leslie Marmon Silko of the Laguna in the US Southwest, Anita Endrezze of Yaqi, and Gloria Anzaldua of Aztec descent, I argue that Native American narratives on tribal healing as a collective resistance render the discourse of medicine as the contesting ground for Indigenous care, justice, and solidarity. By conceptually transcending and eliminating the hegemonic borders of the U.S. to embrace the broader scope of the Americas, my work envisions conditions of well-being and wholeness in the context of the American continent as Native American homelands, lands that resist the binary divisions between man and nature, human (bio) and non-human (zoe), and Us and Them.
