本校韓國姊妹校全南大學(Chonnam National University)將於2017年6月26日至7月27日辦理夏日暑期營，邀請本校教師擔任訪問學者進行授課，請有興趣的教師於2016年12月02日前將報名表(如附件)、個人CV、簡要課綱傳送至國際處:ice@mail.ndhu.edu.tw，轉知全南大學來信如下。 Dear colleagues, This is Kyung-Taek Oh, Dean for International Affairs at Chonnam National University, Korea. In 2016, CNU offered 23 courses in our International Summer Session (ISS), for which we invited 15 international scholars to teach and 130 international students from 22 countries to study along with 400 local students. For the summer of 2017, we are again planning to invite scholars and students to our ISS 2017, which will run from June 26 to July 21, 2017. Accordingly, we hereby invite professors under the following terms and conditions to teach at CNU for the summer of 2017: 1. Teaching Period: June 26 - July 27, 2017 2. Teaching hours: 45 hours (3 hrs a day/4 days a week/4 weeks) 3. Medium of class: English 4. Class setup: Mixture of Korean and international students 5. Class size: between 20 to 50 (minimum 10 students) 6. Course topic: General courses are preferable to attract more students. 7. Qualification: Doctoral degree with five year full-time teaching experience 8. Financial support - Honorarium: US$3,000 - Accommodation support: guest house on campus or 1,000,000 KRW stipend - Air fare support: US$500 for those from Asia and US$1,500 from outside of Asia 9. Here is our general calendar for CNU ISS 2017: • December 8, 2016: Scholar application deadline • December 31, 2016: Course list completed after consultation with the relevant departments based on the documents submitted [First screening done on December 31, 2016] • February 22 – March 31, 2017: International student application • April 15, 2017: Final screening based on the number of students registered (Minimum 10 students) • April 30, 2017: Send the official invitation letter to the final 17-20 professors • June 25, 2017: Pick-up at Incheon airport (9AM – 5PM only) • June 26, 2017: International summer session 2017 Orientation • June 27, 2017: First Class • July 21, 2017: Final Class and Fare-well Ceremony Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you have more inquiries.
