Dear all, WildView Taiwan Film Festival in association with Wildscreen (beginning at 19:00) Venue: Room A114. B119, Environmental Science Building April 28th (Tue.) South Pacific: Fragile Paradise 60 minutes The South Pacific is still relatively healthy and teeming with fish, but it is a fragile paradise. International fishing fleets are taking a serious toll on the largely unique varieties of fish and wildlife. There are also many other issues such as rising sea levels and pollution posing as a threat to these bountiful seas. This film looks at the conservation measures being taken in order to preserve the ocean and its wildlife and highlights in a very honest and visually arresting way the issues faced by the South Pacific, one of the few healthy seas left. The Green Universe 90 minutes Deep in the forest are magical and enchanted spots... But this is also where the fight for life is fought out, and only the strongest win. Stories of well known species, as well as portraits of unknown specimens are told. In the end, everything fits together like a puzzle and a new and radical thesis of nature conservancy is revealed.
