Join us as we continue our Indigenous Knowledge lecture series in partnership with our visiting faculty and students from Western Sydney University. Lecture Topic: How to Keep Tradition Alive in an Urban Environment? The transitions of human-animal relations and landscape in the rituals of the Northern Amis People. Location and Time: College of Indigenous Studies Room B310 12/13/2022 14:00-16:00 Lecturer: Dr. Yi-tze Lee Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Ethnic Relations and Cultures. Dr. LEE received his PhD in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. His research interests are interpretation of rituals, traditional ecological knowledge, and the performance of identity by Taiwanese Indigenous peoples, especially the Amis/Pangcah. He is interested in topics on infrastructure, affect, Indigenous STS, and environmental humanities.
