標題： Autumnal fest in music and sports –sports meet and grass starry sky concert of Dong Hwa’s anniversary celebration

Autumn wind breezing, cool air caressing, lain on the lawn before Dong Hwa’s library, we contemplate the starry firmament, to hark at cricket chirping, song, drum and melody, what an enjoyment and romantics it is. Dong Hwa will initiate this year’ opening ceremony of sports meet and grass concert under starry sky in the evening at 5:00 p.m., Nov. 22, 2017 (Wed).

This activity is jointly organized by Physical Education Center, Arts Center and 
Chinese Language Center. Opening ceremony begins by “Vibrating uproar hurrah”, succeeded by respective college’s entering with bilingual introduction that hopes to bring about engagement in earnest from our international students. Then presents the song and dance by our adorable kids from Dong Hwa kindergarten, then comes the athletic oath, then the flame will be ignited jointly by our heroes -- . Mo, li-er who is swimming golden medal winner in National Intercollegiate Athletic Games 2017 and Huang, guo-ting who is swimming record breaker in Summer Universiade 2017. Estimate at 6:30 p.m. starts starry sky concert performed by Tulbus Mangququ with his band- bunun warriors, who is one of Dong Hwa’s alumni, whose music style is diversified from aboriginal lyric to jazz, church hymn, was shortlisted into yearly best aboriginal folk singer in 2017. Yerko Lorca was born to a Spanish musical family, who is proficient at rendering African harp and Tartessian Lyre music. Also, Taiwanese artist Huang, guan-ying who is versed at tambourine, Chinese zither and vocal song. Both of them are good at playing the oldest musical instruments in different cultures whose performances combine antiquity and originality in company with old poetry byplay and folklore narration.  Golden Melody Awards singer- Ilid Kaolo, who is an Amis female creative singer that earned Golden Melody Awards’ accolade in 2012, in the meantime did the best new singer awards, best aboriginal singer awards and best aboriginal album awards, who will form a band with trumpeter Stacey Wei, our Arts Center director to perform for all Dong Hwa’s faculty and students. Chinese Language Center will also invite overseas students to engage in this opening ceremony and concert, perform folk songs with distinct cultures from their countries.

After the starry sky concert, at 9:00 a.m. on next day- Nov. 23 (Thu) comes the boisterous tug-of-war competition against the rising sun that Dong Hwa’s braves exhibit might and main in the track and field stadium. In the afternoon, comes the most wonderful and exciting relay race that each department send their elites to compete with each other with best team spirit. Following immediately awards ceremony is the sports meet closing ceremony.
