親愛的師長與同學大家好：
提供各位師長與同學「騎車保命12招」如附件，影片可至學務處/生輔組/交通安全/交通安全宣導影片下載(網址: http://www.student.ndhu.edu.tw/files/11-1007-5135.php)，以瞭解騎機車的防禦駕駛基本觀念。
1.綠燈後，先確認左右再起步。
2.停紅燈時盡量停在汽車右前方，避免後方出狀況時被追撞
3.絕對不從大車前方超車。
4.絕對與大車保持距離。
5.絕對不從計程車右方衝過。
6.小巷絕對放慢速度。
7.前方有異時，就開大燈並按喇叭提醒四周
8.變紅燈不急煞車，提早煞車減速，避免後車想搶快而撞上
9.晴天時避開積水，因為有可能是油漬。
10.不要騎快車
11.別搶黃燈更不闖紅燈。
12.與路邊車輛保持距離
提醒:
開車或騎乘機車謹遵各項道路安全規定；騎機車時，請配戴全罩式安全帽，以避免交通意外事故發生，多一分小心，多一分安全；確保自身安全。

Dear faculty, staff, and students,
12 smart ways to ride safely:
1. While the traffic light turns green, please check both left and right before passing.
2. Stop your scooter at the right front of the vehicles while waiting for green lights.
3. Never overtake big vehicles.
4. Keep a safe distance with big vehicles.
5. Never overtake any taxi by its right side.
6. Slow down while riding in an alley. 
7. Turn on the high bean light and blow the horn once noticing something unusual.
8. Don’t stop at a red light in hurry, but brake slowly.
9. Avoid water on the road on sunny days, for it could be due to greasy surface.
10. Never ride fast.
11. Do not run a red light.
12. Keep a safe distance with vehicles park at the roadside.

Reminder:
Follow traffic rules while operating any vehicle. 
Remember to wear a helmet whenever you ride a motorcycle to prevent any traffic accident. 
Being a bit more careful means being a bit safer.
