Beneficial Courses on Body, Mind and Soul 

Physical Education Center offers a series of beneficial continuing courses on Body, Mind and Soul of 106-1 semester that provide learning opportunities on several wholesome curricula for those who are endeavoring to seek rejuvenation and balance in life.

Curricula cover subjects such as Yogalates, Fusion Dance, and Chi Ball cum Body Sculpting etc., which are conducive to the balance among body, mind, soul, to enjoying a whole, mindful, fulfilled life by immersing yourself in these attractive lessons.

Courses held by: Physical Education Center (10 one-and-a-half-hour sessions)

Number of enrollments: 30 persons (registration will stop when quota is fulfilled, class will not open until there are at least 10 persons)

Participants: Dong Hwa’s faculty, staff, students and community residents (junior high school graduation and upwards)

Sign up by : 17:00 pm, Oct. 12, 2017 (Thu). (Please pay up tuition before attending class)

Admission: the priority of enrollment is on first-in-first-served basis (in time sequence of registering to the website), which the accepted name list will be made public in fan page, PE Center’s web and in school-wide notice.  

Course starting date: from Oct. 17, 2017 (Tue) onward

Charge: 
NT$2700/one course * one person for Yogalates or Fusion Dance or Chi Ball cum Body Sculpting;    

Those who sign up and pay up before Oct.3 (Tue) can enjoy 10 % off discount on tuition, one person signing up 3 different courses enjoys 20% off, fivesome enjoys 20% off.

Above-mentioned tuition is not including bank charge that arises in tele-transfer or credit card payment, which should be borne at your end.

Curricula explication:
I.	Yogalates / instructor-Sarah:
    Oct.17-Dec.19 (Tue) 18:10-19:40 pm (1.5 hours/session) 10 sessions (Please bring with you the yoga
 mat)
    “Conflate yoga with pilates, emphasizing on matching of breathing and motions.”
    This course integrates basic lessons, promotes muscle’s energy by exerting yoga’s whole body extension and body position, which sculptures varied muscle groups by pilates’ movements. Core muscle training will use Swiss Ball to strengthen core muscle’s practice. By means of muscle’s extension and core muscle’s strengthening to facilitate circulation in lymphatic system, fortify immunity, and promote blood circulation, meanwhile using coordination between breathing and movement to stabilize emotion, reach to the balance of body and mind. 

II.	Fusion Dance / instructor- Suyung:
    Oct.18-Dec.20 (Wed) 18:10-19:40 pm (1.5 hours/session) 10 sessions
    “Dance class that combines several dance styles – belly dance, Latin dance, African dance, Bollywood dance, and street dance etc.”
    The course’s backbone is basic movement in belly dance, which further integrates other dance movement. Besides muscle endurance, muscle strength and flexibility, physical coordination and rhythm sense are key points in the training.  No matter what age or sex you are of, level you in, this course will tutor you from basic movement on, render the dance one step by one step. You will see your elegant dance at the end of the lesson. 

III.	Chi Ball cum Body Sculpting / instructor – Victoria:
    Oct.19-Dec.21 (Thu) 18:10-19:40 pm (1.5 hours/session) 10 sessions (Please bring with you the yoga
 mat)
    “Using Chi ball, easy body sculpture”
    By using small yoga ball- Chi ball as well as with accompanying rhythmic music, blending pilates, yoga, aerobic and body extension into action, everybody will memorize movement easily. Even a couch potato green hand can obtain great fun and sports effect. By means of sashaying in different music styles and different motions promotes cardiopulmonary training, burns down fat. Beef up muscle strength and endurance to tone up body parts and obtain natural body curve.

Other points for your attention:
1.	These courses are non-credit courses that do not offer college credit. 

2.	Those who attend the course throughout will be accorded civil servant learning hours, if you are a civil servant. Please submit your application after having completed the course to Physical Education Center office. 

3.	Drop course handling:
(1). Print out drop course application and send to the person in charge during office hours, application time is the time application form duly received in the office.
(2). Criteria for Tuition refund is following Ministry of Education’s stipulation: refund before class begins: reimburse 90 % of paid tuition.  Refund for class that has lectured less than 1/3 of all sessions: reimburse 50 % of paid tuition. Refund for class that has lectured over 1/3 of all sessions: no reimburse of paid tuition. 

4.          NDHU reserves the right to adjust course according to actual needs. Should there be typhoon alert, whether class close or not will follow the “Work and Class Status during Natural Disasters” announced by Directorate –General of Personnel Administration, Executive Yuan and no further notification from us. Class will be made up later if there should be school closing due to typhoon.
