National Dong Hwa University College of Indigenous Studies Dance Troupe (NDHUCISDT) was founded in 2005 by students who are interested in Taiwan indigenous cultural dance and traditional music. NDHUCISDT had made some production for few tribes’ culture through collecting data from cultural fieldwork. In order to save the indigenous cultural from the loss, creative music and dance form with contemporary trends and innovation ways of thinking was performed on the stage for the past few years.

NDHUCISDT make “Disseminate”, “Inheritance”, and “Communicate” as the aims during every production of tribal culture. Through the stage, NDHUCISDT spreads out the messages and wishing youth nowadays can receive the information of how importance of indigenous culture is behind every tribe.

For few years NDHUCISDT had participated in the Contest of Indigenous Music and Dance for National Colleges and Universities and won first place in the category of “Traditional Music and Dance” and “Creative Music and Dance” five times in a row. A title “Epitome of Indigenous Dance” was also awarded by this contest to NDHUCISDT. Chances of getting to perform indigenous music and dance in and outside the school also cause the society know more about indigenous cultural.

This year, NDHUCISDT will be having a celebration on 10th Anniversary and we would like to welcome all of you to join with us in every activity soon we are going to begin.
