展覽地點：東華大學湖畔藝術特區1F

    「『蒼茫‧無垠』加拿大+澳洲國際版畫巡迴展」將於4月21日蒞臨東華大學湖畔藝術特區展出，本次展覽共有44位加拿大及澳洲藝術家參與創作，由於兩國擁有相似的殖民與移民的歷史背景，遼闊的地理景觀也孕育了人民探險家和冒險家的精神，參展藝術家以「蒼茫‧無垠」(Boundless and Borderless)為主題，透過自身角度與個人經歷，藉由各種版畫技巧加以詮釋。
　　本展覽緣起於2011年一群來自加拿大多倫多的版畫中心的藝術工作者，在澳大利亞墨爾本莫納什大學的國際版畫會議(Impact 7)時，在展覽與講座中遇到了來自雪梨的版畫藝術工作者，雙方都很讚賞彼此的作品，於是開啟了相互合作交流的對話，透過一次次電子郵件的腦力激盪討論過後，決定聯合展出此一系列的版畫藝術作品。
    44名參展者中，陳尚瑩是唯一的華裔藝術家，其以台灣天燈作為主題，選用絹版作為媒材，利用墨水和水粉彩創作《祈願與祝福之尋與匿》作品，並添加漢字和印章等中華傳統文化元素，希望能和大家分享版畫藝術魅力和多元文化的影響力。
    22位加拿大和22位雪梨版畫家作品難得齊聚「『蒼茫‧無垠』加拿大+澳洲國際版畫巡迴展」，邀請您來蒞臨東華大學湖畔藝術特區，感受兩國藝術家的創作美學。展期謹訂於4月21日起至5月9日止，每日09:00-17:00(周六日休館)，歡迎大家共襄盛舉！


【Arts Center】Exhibition: Boundless and Borderless

    In 2011, a group of art workers from Toronto's Open Studio and the other group from Sydney met in Impact 7 in Monash University in Melbourne. They appreciated each other’s works, and had the idea of cross country collaboration. Due to the fact that both Canada and Australia have the similar history and experience of migration and colonization, physiographic feature and that people in the two countries are both adventurous. Therefore, after a few discussion, they chose “Boundless and Borderless” as the theme of this collaboration, expecting that each artist could use their own way to express this idea.  

    The works in “Boundless and Borderless” use the uniform specification of 250 ‐ 300G BFK Rives and the size is 28cm × 38cm (11” ×15”). These works are completed in 2013, including 44 pieces of handmade graphics and 6 A/P (The trial works of these artists, which are limit to a number.) The printmaking techniques include woodcut, intaglio (etching, dry point and relief printing), Al-photoptic printing, planographic printing, screen printing and calligraphy. This is a great opportunity for 22 Canadian graphic artists and 22 graphic artists from Sydney to have this collaboration. Please come and enjoy this boundless and borderless beauty!
