【臺灣原質藝術】張宗成的石語畫境

        歲月的風化，時間的洗鍊，成就出一顆顆動人的石頭。東華大學藝術中心特於3月24日至4月11日期間，於東華大學湖畔藝術特區與2F玻璃屋舉辦「【臺灣原質藝術】張宗成的石語畫境」展覽，將展出「太魯閣」、「夜」、「莫內」、「綠水」等多系列的石藝作品，在自然切割卻不加以刻意雕琢的狀態下，要讓每顆石頭「現出原形」與觀者面對面地「現身說法」。

       原是銀行副理的張宗成，60歲遷居花蓮後開始投入玫瑰石的收藏，「我很笨，但我很認真」，這是張宗成常掛在嘴邊的一句話，訴說的是他對石頭的執著和熱情，他幾乎用盡全部的時間與金錢去創作出一件件令人讚嘆的作品；近年來，張宗成有感於花蓮完整塊狀的奇石因外銷迅速減少，從而開始收集切石¬場裁剩的石塊，慧眼獨具，從殘缺的石料中挖掘出一幅又一幅充滿生命力的石片意¬象畫。

       玫瑰石、玉石等石產都是花蓮在地的珍貴資產，又稱風景石的玫瑰石，因為其多變的紋路層次、豐富的色彩表現，是許多收藏家的珍藏。而在張宗成的細心切割琢磨下，為每顆石頭找到了不一樣的故事和主題，賦予更加豐富的生命力，突破以往的石藝著重在具象的藝術表現。張宗成的創作，充分展現出原質藝術的特點，強調作品要回歸自然並顯現出素材的簡樸美感，致力於意境的展現與凸顯石頭渾然天成的美，並在作品中融入個人豐富的生命經歷與美學素養，讓觀者得以無窮無盡的想像並從中引發內心的悸動。

       張宗成的收藏與作品曾多次受邀至海外展出，為台灣石創藝術開創一片天空。正所謂「萬物靜觀皆自得，處處留心皆學問」，走一趟「張宗成的石語畫境」特展，細細品嘗每顆石頭承載的無窮生命力，內心必能感受到極大的震撼與驚喜。「【臺灣原質藝術】張宗成的石語畫境」展期謹訂於3月24日起至4月11日止，每日09:00-17:00，週六日不休館，展出地點為東華大學湖畔藝術特區與2樓玻璃屋，歡迎大家呼朋引伴，一同欣賞難得一見的石成瑰寶！

【The Innate Taiwan Art】Chung-chen Chang Chang Stone Artworks

    Born in 1934, a time when Taiwan was under Japanese Occupation. Chang had been struggling with the lung disease he had in a young age. At the age of 30, the doctors declared that he was in the end of his life. Before he was drugged the last time, he even said goodbye to his own life.

    Seeing the vicissitudes of life and changes of this land, the 80-year-old Chang has an open mind toward life, and the softness in his eyes is his way to look into the world.

     At the age of 60, he started to devote into the collection of Rhodonite and spend a decade creating all the masterpieces, along with all his money. The wisdom accumulated with life experience is directly portrayed in the stones. Because of his careful concern, every stone work has its own life. Looking into the world depicted on the stone is always fascinating and inspiring. Every Rhodonite collected by Chang has a fathomless power that could lead one to the long hidden throb  of the heart.
